Clarins Garden Escape - First Look at the Spring 2015 Collection with Swatches!

We may only be a couple of days into the new year but my yearning to shake off the drama of winter beauty and embrace lighter, brighter spring time colours is real. Handy then that Clarins have light and bright down with their upcoming collection, Garden Escape.

The focus is firmly on pastel shades, with the colour influence taken directly from the spring floral canvas, as the name might suggest. The packaging is second to none, which we've come to expect with the high end brand, with weighty golden palettes that feel like luxury before you ever pop the lid. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

6 Colour Eye Palette: €41

True to its name, the Garden Escape palette holds six satin and pearlised shades that look as though they're taken directly from a spring garden in bloom. The soft, creamy shadows work well both wet and dry and will be a sure fire hit with lovers of a more ethereal look. I can see it being in high demand come spring time wedding season.

Next up is the flattering pink blush with highlighting insets leaning more toward a soft, peachy coral. Beautiful on pale Irish skin tones for a subtle flush of colour. While it won't set paces racing of those that like a bolder blush, once applied, you can build the pinky hue with ease.

As a rule I despise brush inclusions in palettes but Clarins know beauty. This Ickle Blush Brush is a Beaut.
Blush Prodige: €33

Green is the new black when it comes to eyes with this Intense Green Kohl. The pencil is soft and waxy on application and the clever brush works wonders to smudge the line for a more intense look but, as with all Clarins pencils, work fast. Once Clarins Kohls set, they're set.

Crayon Kohl Eye Intense Green: €18

The main draw of this collection for me though is lips. With the addition of two Jolie Rouge Sheer lippies in Coral Dahlia & Rose Petal. This soft pink Rose Petal is infused with silver micro glitter to give it a light sheen on the lips. Perfect for easy wear in the brighter weather.

Jolie Rouge Rose Petal: €21.50

One inclusion in Garden Escapes that have been making waves in the beauty world for months now are the Extra Comfort Lip Oils. Honey will be here to stay with Rasberry (pictured) limited edition only.

Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil Raspberry: €19

Designed to plump and nourish lips, it's a seriously hydrating non sticky gloss, infused with hazelnut, raspberry & organic jojoba oil. It gives just a hint of colour to winter weary kissers - Oh and it's DEElish!

Last up is the release of 6 Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors, my favourite product of the entire collection. The balm version of the gorgeous Instant Light Lip Perfectors, these buttery soft balms glide onto the lips, offering instant protection and leaving just a hint of colour. Absolute stunners.

Clarins Garden Escape launches next month.

Are you liking the cut of it's spring time jib or are you still firmly in winter beauty mode?
