The Chattery

We've made it, it's Friday! It's been a hard slog but we're there!

I've just been checking over yesterday's Chattery and there's a couple of dilemmas and questions that could really do with some advice. Can you help by commenting here

As for today, have you a beauty question or a burning issue you think the lovely ladies might be able to help with? Maybe you'd be able to help some other gals with their questions - it'd be great to have you involved.

For my part, following on from yesterday's #LayaPendulum Summit, I had some very interesting chats and learned that inspiration, a sense of community and all inclusiveness is key to helping every one of us. We've come up with a little plan to help get The Chattery ball rolling and encourage you ladies to get involved - keep peelers pelt next week!

But for now, any plans for the weekend?

  3. Shiv, try Ginvera Whitening Marvel Gel (from Harvey Nicks if you're in Dublin or Mise beauty online - under 25 quid). It's a gentle chemical exfoliant specifically for your skin complaint. If you can't get hold of it, Clarins do an exfoliating toner Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner (God, what a mouthful)which at over 3 squids is spendy but good and lasts for aaaages.

  4. Hi Shiv, check out Aoife's post on Fashion Turn to the Right for adding radiance http://fashionturntotheright.blogspot.ie/2014/01/beauty-edit-get-glowing-skin-for-new.html

I would recommend Feeling Younger by Lush. Its cream highlighter but you can add it to your foundation or face cream. Instantly brightens up your face xx

  7. Mix some olive oil, lemon juice and sugar and gently run it on your face, super cheap and leaves skin super soft and fresh

  8. Shiv,if you can get your hands on it try the clarins exfoliating toner- i second felicity's recommendation! I got mine on debenhams online after Trying multiple stores past few weeks(cork& dublin), after first use my skin was noticeably brighter. Its pricey but worth it. Be careful with the scrub type exfoliators- beauty therapists warned me off them, risk of broken capillaries ( unless your skin is oily). I also find oils superb- great for boosting skin.

  9. Hi there,

My skin (and whole self) is looking pretty yucky after December. I'm getting back into the vegetables and staying off the alcohol and trying to get more sleep.

In terms of products, Neutrogena has a great cheap face wash called 'Pore refining exfoliating cleanser'. It's not too harsh but really works.
