A Crash Course to Shine |
You may be thinking that people couldn't be that silly, that ignorant of the safety of not only themselves but of the other road users, of children walking to school and men and women commuting with their families. Surely they don't think their second coat of mascara, sweep of blush or slick of lipgloss is more important than taking responsibility for the vehicle they're driving? Unfortunately some people do. It only takes a second of lapsed concentration to irrevocably change your life and the lives of others while you're driving.
I'd love to know your thoughts on either of these videos, do you think they're effective? Are there any other areas that videos such as these could be used to raise awareness?
I definitely think they're effective in raising awareness, I just hope to god they're effective enough to make people affected seek help or in the second case, be more careful. The end of the Lauren Luke one sends chills down my spine, it's just pure fear, and I really hope that anyone watching that who's in a similar position will realise what the videos are trying to do and seek help.
ReplyDeleteI cried my eyes out watching Lauren's video. I'm glad to see new tactics in getting people not in that position to understand how difficult it must be to speak out and in turn inspire women who are to speak out.
ReplyDeleteSame goes for the driving. It terrifies me.
Well done to those spearheading these campaigns!
I saw Lauren's video pop up in my sub-box and was really confused for the first few seconds, especially as she doesn't upload very regularly anymore, until I had the ah-ha moment! Great idea for both of them - hadn't spotted Nikkie's one strangely, even though I'm subbed to her too! But fair play to them using the platform they have to raise awareness about very important issues!
ReplyDeleteI had seen Lauren's video already and it really does an great job at raising awareness. She genuinely looks fearful at the end of the video. I had not seen Nikkie's one though and jesus christ! My heart jumped when the crash came. Really violent but jesus it gets the point across. Fair play to both of them for raising awareness!
