Dr Seuss' The Lorax - Movie Review

Ted is from Thneedsville,
a town in a bubble,
where air is expensive
and nature's in trouble.

To win the affections of Audrey,
a neighbour so fair,
he promises her a tree
but where to find one? Where?

Ted & Audrey voiced by Zac Efron and Taylor Swift

He must track the Once-ler
in a wasteland afar
to hear the story of greed,
of felled trees, of deep scars.

There's a race against time,
will the good side prevail?
Will people see their mistakes
by the end of the tale?

The Lorax (DeVito) reasoning with The Once-ler (Helms)

The movies colours are vibrant,
musical numbers done with aplomb,
there's clear morals from The Lorax,
the hairy Snugglebum.

Your kids will adore this,
they'll see the heart that it's got,
but for over 12s & adults?
It's not worth the tenner. It's not.

    1. Thanks! There'd be far too many ditches and snores in the 8 Mile version, it'd get old, fast ;)

  3. So little heart,
    right from the start,
    my guess is Dr Seuss,
would have cut the writers loose!
The little 'uns they liked it,
for me it lacked some mirth,
but the little 'uns didn't mind,
mind you they are known to eat dirt!
