Following a review post over on Beaut.ie by the gorgeous Lynnie a couple of weeks back of Angels on Bare Skin, I was intrigued.
I have to admit I'm not normally a Lush fan, it's the stonk of the shop that gets me. Too many smells going on for my liking. Saying that I'm in there quite a lot as the Gorgebags don't half like a bath bomb or two. How can I deny them? They've been told that the Molton Brown in the bathroom is far too rich for their delicate teenage skin. (If you tell them different, you're dead!)
€7.90 for 100g, wrapped in natural corn husk |
But the Lush Gals are more than happy to provide a free pot for storage |
Angels on Bare Skin is made using Rose Absolute to combat redness, Lavender Oil for antiseptic goodness that balances your skin's natural oils and Ground Almonds, as a naturally gentle exfoliant to polish and buff your fizzog.
I've been using this once a day, in the evenings for the past 2 weeks and I have to say I love it. I use a small amount, as directed, with warm water and rub into a paste. It has a putty like texture that definitely needs to be kept over the sink until you're done but it smells divine.
Even though I'm a convert to Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser for the past few months, Angels on Bare Skin is a more than adequate interim cleanser until I can afford it's replacement. My skin is bright and refreshed and my pores genuinely seem reduced. My HG daily tanner, Xen - Tan seems to have an even nicer glow with it's use too. (Which I thought impossible).
If your musherog is acting up this weather or you just fancy a change, I'd urge you to give this angelic beauty a chance.
I love this cleanser, I use it as a face mask/ scrub sometimes as well.
ReplyDeleteLush shop gives me headache.
Have never tried this but I'm sorely tempted! Is it any cop at makeup removal?
ReplyDeleteIt's fab for make up removal Em & as RiRi says is gentle enough to use as a mask.
ReplyDeleteYou'll need a separate cleanser for your sĂșiles though, well I do because I'm using They're Real. Ain't no shifting that :)
I love this stuff, it's brilliant stuff altogether.
